"The Ping Pong session (explained)
Oma Fanny Okwuchi is a new found friend, my upstairs neighbour and an elderly stylish lady, originally from Nigeria, who recently fell in love with drawing and art. She had heard that I was teaching art and asked me if I could help her. After some more classical drawing lessons about things such as: 'the weight of the line', 'central perspective', 'anatomy' and 'working with different speeds' we quickly skipped the teacher/student model and just started to draw together as two equal passionados who both loves to draw and who has different set of skills and powers and who complements each other. I am jealous of her freedom, imagination and storytelling powers, and I on the other hand have been busy with art and drawing my whole life, together we are a strong team. Technically it goes like this: We listen to music, both of us starts to draw, each with our own paper, after 2 songs or so, we switch papers and continues on the other ones drawing, this routine can repeat itself numerous times (hence the name, the Ping Pong session). When we are both happy with a drawing, it is considered finished and we sign them. We draw together at least once a week, but also sometimes takes drawings home and continues there solo, until we meet again.
Warm greetings Jonas"
